Privacy Policy

What we collect when you visit, listen, leave feedback or sign in as a creator — why, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted.

Last updated: 27 October 2026

The short version

  • You can browse and listen without an account, and nothing we keep about a visit identifies you.
  • We do not sell your information, show ads, or use advertising trackers.
  • We only learn your name or email if you give them to us — on the contact form, the email alerts signup, or when a creator signs in with Google.
  • If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we don’t record your visit at all.
  • Want something deleted? Email joi@joielectric.com.

Who we are

This policy covers JOI Electric (joielectric.com) and The Velvet Key (thevelvetkeysociety.com), a collective of erotic audio creators. Both sites run from the same service, so “we” and “us” below means JOI Electric, which runs them.

Questions about this policy, or about anything we hold about you: joi@joielectric.com.

When you visit

To see which pages and works people find and enjoy, each page notes what happens on it. For every visit we record:

  • What happened: pages viewed, works opened, audio started and finished, links followed out to other sites, downloads, and words typed into a search box.
  • Where you came from: the name of the site that linked you here (for example “reddit.com”), not the full address.
  • Rough location: country, region and city, as worked out by our host from your connection. We do not store your IP address.
  • Rough device: reduced to something like “Mobile · Safari · iOS”. We do not store your full browser details.
  • Two random IDs your browser makes up and keeps (see Cookies & storage), so a return visit and a single sitting can be counted as such. They are not linked to your name, email or any account.

Only the site’s owner and its signed-in creators see these statistics, as totals and lists of visits. We don’t record visits to the creators’ Content Manager, and if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing about your visit is recorded.

Like any website, our host also receives your IP address and browser details in order to deliver pages to you. See Other services.

When you send us something

Contact form

Your message, its subject, and — only if you choose to give them — your name and email address, so we can reply. Messages land in a private inbox read by the site’s owner.

Email alerts

If you sign up (on its own or by ticking the box on the contact form), we keep your email address, the name you gave if any, and when and where you signed up. We use it only to tell you when something new is released. Nothing sends these emails automatically yet; if we start using an email service to send them, we’ll name it here. Every alert will include a way to unsubscribe.

Listener feedback

The feedback form doesn’t ask for your name or email. It keeps your answers — ratings, what you liked, what could be better and any other comments — along with which work and platform they are about and when they were sent. Please don’t put anything in the free-text boxes that identifies you.

  • Feedback left on a creator’s own page is filed for that creator, and they and the site’s owner can read it.
  • Feedback left on the site’s main form is also emailed to the site’s owner through Web3Forms, a form-delivery service (see Other services).

If you are a creator

Creators are invited by the site’s owner and sign in with Google. When you do, we receive from Google your email address and name, and confirm with Google that the sign-in is genuine. We don’t receive your Google password, and we don’t ask for access to your Google contacts, Drive, Gmail or anything else.

We keep:

  • Your invitation record: email, display name, your profile’s short name, your role, when you were invited, and when you first and last signed in.
  • Your profile, if you make one: everything you enter in My profile, such as name, tagline, bio, pictures, links, updates, look, and your usernames on ScriptBin, Reddit or Literotica if you add them for importing. It is only public once you press Publish.
  • The works and images you add or import, and who added them.

Removing your invitation ends your access immediately. Ask us and we’ll delete your profile and uploads too. Published works you are credited on belong to everyone credited, so we may keep those but remove or change your name on them if you ask.

Cookies and browser storage

We use one cookie, and only for creators. Everything else is kept in your own browser’s storage and isn’t sent anywhere, except for the two visit IDs described above.

We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes all of the above.

Other services we use

A few outside services are involved in running the sites. Each handles data under its own privacy policy:

  • Netlify hosts both sites and stores everything described on this page. Like any host, it receives your IP address and browser details when it delivers a page, and uses them to work out the rough location we keep.
  • Google: Google Sign-In for creators, and Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces on every page, so your browser contacts Google’s servers when a page loads.
  • Web3Forms delivers feedback from the site’s main feedback form to the owner by email.
  • Embedded players. Some works, and some news posts, play inside a player from the platform that hosts them (such as YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player or Vimeo). That platform can see that you loaded it.
  • Links out. Works and creators’ pages link to other platforms such as Literotica, Reddit, Soundgasm, HotAudio, Audiochan, Patreon and Bluesky. Once you follow a link, that site’s own policy applies.

We don’t sell, rent or trade your information, and we don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long we keep things

  • Visit statistics: kept for as long as they are useful for understanding how the sites are used. They contain nothing that identifies you.
  • Contact messages: until we delete them. We keep at most the latest 2,000.
  • Email alert signups: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep a note that the address unsubscribed, so it isn’t accidentally signed up again, unless you ask us to remove it entirely.
  • Feedback: until the creator or the site’s owner deletes it. We keep at most the latest 5,000 responses.
  • Creator accounts, profiles and uploads: while you are a creator here, and until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

  • See, correct or delete anything we hold about you: email joi@joielectric.com. Tell us what to look for (for example, the email address you used) and we’ll reply within 30 days. Feedback and visit statistics aren’t linked to your identity, so we may not be able to find yours unless you can tell us roughly when and what you sent.
  • Stop visit statistics by turning on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, or by clearing this site’s data.
  • Leave email alerts with the unsubscribe link in any alert, or by emailing us.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us first and we’ll do our best to help.

Adults only

Both sites contain adult content and are only for people aged 18 or over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes affecting creators, we’ll also tell creators directly.
